The figure is sectioned to reveal glass abstractions that can represent both the physical and the psychological. I chose an unconscious pose, a state seemingly dormant, to show how one’s inner workings are actually very active, constantly creating involuntary reflexes and thoughts apparently detached from those reactions we have when conscious. I am fascinated by how our insides, typically hidden, are self-regulated in contrast with our outer self which is reactive and susceptible to our surroundings.
